The L300 series is one of Toshiba successes. They have built powerful and functional laptops with a sleek, professional finish ... at an extremely affordable price. There is a 15.4” display (resolution = 1,280 x 800) with a glossy finish which means fantastic quality for movies and games. The keyboard is also very good with a sensible layout and efficient track-pad with responsive buttons.
There are various processors located inside the laptops all of which are backed up by a decent 2GB helping of RAM; which means running Windows Vista Home Premium is no problem at all. You also get 3 USB ports, an ExpressCard slot and a D-Sub VGA connector. In addition a webcam is built in to the top of the screen. So what are the catches you ask? Well the weight (2.7kg) can become a bit of an issue and its battery life isn’t as long as some of its competitors.
